We offer this website, including all information, tools, and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies, and notices stated here.

By visiting our site or purchasing a handcrafted piece from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein (including our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Return & Refund Policy).

2. GENERAL CONDITIONS

By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence.

• You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

• A breach or violation of any of the Terms will result in an immediate termination of your Services.

• We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

3. PRODUCTS AND CRAFTSMANSHIP (IMPORTANT)

We specialize in handcrafted solid wood furniture (Montessori shelves, tree-shaped bookcases, console tables). By purchasing from Hanatees, you acknowledge and agree to the unique nature of our materials:

• Natural Wood Characteristics: Wood is a living material. Variations in grain pattern, color tone, knots, mineral streaks, and texture are natural characteristics of solid wood and are not considered defects. These features make your piece unique.

• Handmade Tolerance: As our products are crafted and finished by hand, slight variations in dimensions (typically within +/- 0.5 inches) may occur.

• Color Accuracy: We have made every effort to display the colors and images of our products as accurately as possible. However, we cannot guarantee that your computer monitor’s display of any color will be 100% accurate.

• Safety Warning: For tall items like our Tree-Shaped Bookcases, we strongly recommend and sometimes require (via included hardware) anchoring the furniture to the wall to prevent tipping, especially in homes with children or pets. Hanatees is not responsible for accidents resulting from failure to properly secure furniture.

4. PRICING AND MODIFICATIONS

• Currency: All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).

• Changes: Prices for our products are subject to change without notice due to fluctuations in lumber costs or shipping rates.

• Taxes: Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping address, in compliance with US state laws and international regulations.

5. BILLING AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION

We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us.

• In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e-mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made.

• You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store.

6. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Our delivery terms are fully detailed in our Shipping Policy.

• Risk of Loss: All items purchased from Hanatees are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier (USPS, FedEx, DHL, or Freight).

• Inspection: It is your responsibility to inspect the packaging upon arrival. If damage is visible, you must document it and contact us within 48 hours to be eligible for a claim.

7. RETURNS AND REFUNDS

Our returns are governed by our Return & Refund Policy.

• 30-Day Window: You have 30 days from delivery to request a return.

• Restocking Fee: Returns due to “change of mind” are subject to a 30% restocking fee and the customer pays return shipping.

• Custom Orders: Customized or personalized items are generally non-returnable unless defective.

8. THIRD-PARTY TOOLS AND LINKS

We may provide you with access to third-party tools (such as order tracking via carrier websites) over which we neither monitor nor have any control. You acknowledge and agree that we provide access to such tools ”as is” and “as available” without any warranties.

Your submission of personal information through the store is governed by our Privacy Policy. We respect your privacy and protect your data in accordance with US and international standards.

10. ERRORS, INACCURACIES, AND OMISSIONS

Occasionally there may be information on our site that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information is inaccurate at any time without prior notice.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

In no case shall Hanatees, our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, or licensors be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including, without limitation lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of data, replacement costs, or any similar damages, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, arising from your use of any of the service or any products procured using the service.

Specific to Furniture: We are not liable for damage to the product caused by environmental conditions in your home (extreme humidity, heat sources, direct sunlight causing fading) or improper assembly/anchoring by the customer.

12. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Hanatees and our affiliates, partners, officers, and employees from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms of Service.

13. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, United States.

You can review the most current version of the Terms of Service at any time at this page. We reserve the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms by posting updates to our website. It is your responsibility to check our website periodically for changes.
