What materials do you use?

We are committed to sustainability and safety. Our products—including our signature Tree-Shaped Bookcases and Montessori shelves—are handcrafted from responsibly sourced solid wood. We finish every piece with non-toxic, eco-friendly coatings that are safe for children and kind to the planet.

Will my furniture look exactly like the photos?

It will be very similar, but not identical. Because we use real wood, every board has its own unique grain patterns, color tones, and natural markings. We believe these variations are not defects, but rather the “fingerprint” of nature that makes your piece truly one-of-a-kind.

Is the furniture safe for children?

Absolutely. Safety is our priority, especially for our Montessori line. Our artisans ensure that every edge is gently rounded and surfaces are sanded smooth to prevent splinters. We use child-safe finishes to ensure a healthy environment for your little ones.

Do you offer custom sizes or colors?

Yes! As mentioned in our story, we offer customization in sizes, finishes, and colors to fit your specific space. Please contact us at support@hanatees.com before placing your order to discuss your requirements.

How do I care for my wooden furniture?

To keep your Hanatees piece looking beautiful for years, dust it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth and wipe dry immediately. Avoid using harsh chemical sprays or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the natural wood finish.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Where do you ship?

We ship globally to the following regions:

  • North America: United States, Canada.

  • Europe: UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Portugal.

  • Oceania: Australia.

  • Note: We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes or military APO/FPO addresses due to the size of our items.

How much does shipping cost?

We believe in transparency.

  • Flat Rate: We charge a flat shipping rate of $150.00 for standard orders.

  • Free Shipping: Orders over $1,900.00 qualify for free shipping. There are no hidden fees at checkout.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Delivery time is a combination of processing and transit:

  • Processing: 1–3 business days (for quality checks and packing).

  • Transit:

    • USA/Canada: 5–9 business days.

    • Europe/UK: 7–11 business days.

    • Australia: 8–12 business days.

Will the carrier bring the furniture inside my house?

For larger items (like bookcases and console tables), we typically use freight carriers with Curbside Delivery. This means the driver will unload the item at your driveway or curb. They will not bring the item inside your home, up stairs, or assemble it. We recommend having a second person available to help you move the item indoors.

ORDERS & PAYMENTS

Can I cancel my order?

We process orders very quickly. If you need to cancel, you must email us at support@hanatees.com within 12 hours of placing the order. After this window, or once the packaging process has begun, we cannot guarantee cancellation.

What if I entered the wrong address?

Please check your confirmation email immediately after purchasing. If you notice an error, contact us instantly. If the package is returned to us due to an incorrect address, you will be responsible for the original shipping cost and any re-shipping fees.

Do I have to pay import taxes or duties?

For most international shipments, we handle the logistics to make it as smooth as possible. However, customs policies vary by country. Please check your local regulations. In many cases for our primary markets, the price you see at checkout is final, but random customs inspections can occur.

RETURNS & REFUNDS

What is your return policy?

We offer a 30-day return window from the date of delivery.

  • Defects/Damage: If the item is damaged or defective, we cover the return shipping and offer a free replacement or full refund.

  • Change of Mind: If you simply changed your mind or ordered the wrong size, you are responsible for the return shipping costs plus a 30% restocking fee.

My item arrived damaged. What do I do?

We are so sorry! Please inspect your package immediately upon arrival.

  1. Take clear photos of the damaged box and the damaged item.

  2. Email us at support@hanatees.com within 48 hours of delivery.

  3. We will arrange a replacement or refund for you at no extra cost.

Do I have to disassemble the furniture to return it?

Yes. To ensure the item travels safely back to us, it must be disassembled and packed securely in its original packaging (or equally protective packaging). Items returned without proper protection that arrive damaged may not be eligible for a full refund.
